Job description
We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East in Kuwait as Control Room Technician – TANK.
Your main duties will be:
Controls operating plant start-ups, shutdowns, and emergencies by alterations of parameters like speed, temperature, pressure and flow rates as necessary.
Facilitate the shutdown and start-up for maintenance and inspection purposes with adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Implements the emergency procedures as dictated by the circumstances and SOPs.
Initiates operational adjustments to ensure optimization of process performance and improves high value product yield.
Manage all aspect of normal operation and short-term trouble shooting aligned with rules and integrity management of people, environment and equipment.
Pre-commissioning / Commissioning activities like flushing, blowing, drying, chemical cleaning, Hydro/Pneumatic Test, pigging, Hydro jetting, Cardboard Blasting etc. Check PFD, P&ID, ISOMETRIC Drawing, General Arrangement Drawing.
Handle DCS of Invensys Foxboro and experience with process instrument (like control valve, PT, FT, LT, TT), Open- close loop system.
Review P&IDs of the plant.
DCS loop checking, DCS, ESD and F& G function testing with EPC and vendor.
Pre-commissioning activities of Air blowing, Steam Blowing and card-board blasting.
Pre-commissioning activities of system Mechanical clearance walk down from operation side.
Pre-commissioning activities of system Tightness test as per define scope.
Review DCS and ESD control narratives.
Review DCS, ESD and Fire and Gas system Cause & Effect diagram.
