Falcon Drilling, LLC is a mobile, fast and cost-effective top hole drilling company that services major and independent oil and gas companies. Falcon specialize in disposal wells, shallow horizontal wells, shallow oil wells and top hole drilling.

Since Falcon drilled  first Marcellus well in 2007, Falcon now operate a fleet of drilling rigs capable of drilling up to 12,000 feet utilizing a 24 inch casing or smaller. Currently, Falcon have rigs running in the Marcellus serving all well designs. Falcon primary operating area is in the Marcellus Shale and Utica Shale territories of Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio.

Summary:

The Floorman is responsible for safely and efficiently assisting the Driller by performing manual labor tasks to support the drilling operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist drillers in making pipe connection
  • Supervise mixing off all drilling fluids
  • Maintain and track inventory
  • Properly maintain all equipment used on the drilling location
  • Operate heavy machinery

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:

  • Operational and Safety knowledge
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
  • 0-1+ years of Drilling Rig experience
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education preferred.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform work outside with prolonged exposure to the environment, both hot and cold. Operations could also involve prolonged exposure to wet or damp conditions i.e., working in rain, snow and sleet.
  • 12-13 hours/day, 14 days on/ 14 days off rotation
  • Vigorous manual labor required
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 80 pounds frequently
  • Long periods of standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching or similar activities may be necessary in tight spaces as well as elevated heights.

Driller

Summary:

The Driller is primarily responsible for operating and repairing drilling equipment; and supervising a work crew. The driller is also responsible for executing the drilling program in a safe and efficient manner under the direct supervision of the Rig Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs rig operating activities for an extended period of time for 14 consecutive days.
  • Works with Rig Manager to ensure that assigned crews are properly trained in accordance with company requirements.
  • Acts as the liaison between Rig Manager and crew communicating any issues or concerns during hitch.
  • Understands and demonstrates the safe handling, proper application, and proper disposal of drilling fluids.
  • Ensures all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Conducts periodic inspections of the rig and rig location, identifying issues regarding safe and efficient operations of the rig, and makes timely recommendations to rectify any noted problems.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation (i.e. reports, logs, etc.) in accordance with company policy.
  • Advises the Rig Manager of changing well condition and severe weather conditions or other environmental factors that would inhibit operations.

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:

  • Team Player
  • Working knowledge of I.A.D.C. and M.S.D.S. regulations
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of people
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and meet the requirements of the Falcon Drilling Motor Vehicle Policy
  • High school education or equivalent, or as deemed sufficient by Management.
  • 3-5 years previous drilling rig experience with at least 6 months experience
    as an Assistant Driller or equivalent experience deemed sufficient by management.
  • Supervisory certification in Well Control/IADC certificate
  • Well Control ADC certificate.
  • BOP Certified
  • First Aid and CPR certified
  • Working Knowledge of air compressors and boosters used for air drilling
  • Working Knowledge of mud pumps used for fluid drilling.
