Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Technician
Accountabilities:
- Assists in maintaining and troubleshooting various types of electrical systems, pumps, wiring, chillers, exhaust fans, piping systems and lighting systems.
- Performs plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and inspections on building systems.
- Monitors building fire alarm panels and other emergency-related systems.
- Monitors the daily building hard & soft services performed by 3rd parties.
- Carry out the PPM, Reactive, and corrective maintenance tasks in relation to MEP systems.
- Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Performs inspections of MEP systems to identify and replace worn parts.
- Inspects joints, valves, pumps, heaters, sinks, commodes, tanks, valves, and other plumbing systema and circuit breakers, and other electrical components
- components to locate malfunctions and repairs or replacements when necessary.
- Integrate and communicate effectively with other technical staff as required.
- Participate in overtime, shift work, and/or out-of-hours work as governed by the necessity to maintain continuity of operation of essential plants and systems.
- Participate in emergency on‐call service during non‐working hours, weekends, and public holidays.
- Quality check equipment regularly to ensure everything is in working order
- Create inspection and repair schedules
- Carry out location activities as directed by the Supervisor and adhere to Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Conform to all necessary internal and/or external approvals before, during, and after project work, including Permit to Work and Lockout / Tag Out procedures.
- Participate in the Health, Safety & Risk programs including toolbox talks, health safety, and environmental training related to work activities, especially electrical safety and working at heights.
- Use safe systems of work when working with all building services and electrical equipment.
- Carry out all other duties as directed by the Facilities Supervisor and Facilities Manager to the benefit of the location.

- Reading technical diagrams and blueprints
- Reports to Maintenance/Facilities Supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Training certificate in building maintenance services or other relevant and recognized qualifications.
- High School or Diploma.
- Good level of English language both written and spoken.
- Must hold a certificate or diploma in a related field.
Skills & Experience:
- Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge, and qualifications.
- Technical skills and knowledge in the maintenance of MEP systems.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in the maintenance sector, mainly within a commercial working environment.
- Experience working with main contractors.
- Experienced or participated in the testing & commissioning of MEP systems.
- Able to foster good relations with colleagues and other departments and be a good team player.
- Flexibility, excellent attention to detail, and ability to identify key issues.
- Able to work under stringent deadlines and a high‐pressure environment.
- Technically competent with a clear technical understanding of buildings’ MEP systems.
- Proficient and able to demonstrate a complete understanding of plumbing planned maintenance and repair services.
- Technical and safety awareness with a clear understanding of electrical safety, permit to work, processes, procedures, use of electrical tools, and associated test equipment.
