Saudi Arabia is set to receive three new entertainment complexes following the awarding of three contracts to the local Al-Bawani and Urbacon Saudi Company, a local affiliate of Qatar’s Urbacon Trading & Contracting Company.
The three projects will be located in Tabuk, Yanbu, and Medina, with the Tabuk project being the largest of the three. The Tabuk project will include an immersive centre, a Discovery Adventures centre, an indoor adventure golf course, bowling alley, cinema, retail, and food & beverage outlets.
The other two projects are located in Yanbu and Medina. The Yanbu project will include a 10-lane bowling alley, a 6-screen cinema, a kids’ entertainment centre, food and beverage outlets, and retail. The Medina project will feature a similar mix of entertainment offerings.
The contracts awarded to the Al-Bawani and Urbacon Saudi Company are part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to expand its entertainment sector and diversify its economy. In recent years, the kingdom has embarked on an ambitious plan to develop its tourism and entertainment sectors, including the construction of theme parks, cinemas, and other leisure facilities.
